Rotary flanges are mainly used for the connection of subsea underwater pipelines. The outer ring of the rotating flange is allowed to rotate 360 degrees centered on the inner ring to quickly adjust the alignment bolt holes with its mating standard flange. This feature is essential for subsea pipeline operations, which allows divers to align bolt holes more quickly and easily.
The rotary flange can be designed for any size and pressure level to meet any recognized flange specifications and gaskets, such as ASME B16.5 or MSS SP-44. Non-standard rotary ring flanges can also be designed according to customer requirements to be suitable for some special applications, such as welding of inner ring or PTFE spray treatment of flange surface.
ROTARY FLANGE DESIGN SPECIFICATION: Unless otherwise specified, rotary flanges shall be designed in accordance with API requirements and in accordance with ASME Pressure Vessel Code, Section 8, Division 2 and its associated flange specifications.
