The threaded flange also called screw thread flange is a non-welded flange. Compared with the slip-on plate flange or the WN flange, the threaded flange can be installed and repaired conveniently. The inner hole of the flange is machined into a pipe thread. The flange and the pipe are not connected through welding, but through threads, that is, threads of the inner hole are produced through lathing, threads of the pipe are produced too, and then they are connected.
The threaded flange belongs to the low-pressure flange. It is applicable to low pressure, such as engineering construction, AC system, etc. It can be used safely. The threaded flange is one of the so-called screw thread products. For example, the pipe fitting on the incoming tap water pipe is threaded. It is usually used in engineering construction. It features convenient field installation, convenient repair, no need of welding, etc. It can be applied to pipes where welding is not allowed, welding is not easy to operate or the welding property is not good.
