The globe valve, also known as the cut-off valve, belongs to the forced sealed valve, so when the valve is closed, the pressure must be applied to the valve disc to force the sealing surface not to leak. When the medium enters the valve from below the disc, the resistance that the operating force needs to overcome is the friction force of the stem and packing and the thrust generated by the pressure of the medium. The force of closing the valve is larger than that of opening the valve, so the diameter of the valve stem should be larger, otherwise the failure of stem top bending will occur. According to the connection mode, it is divided into three kinds: flange connection, wire connection, welding connection. After the appearance of the self-sealing valve, the medium flow of the globe valve changes from above the disc into the valve chamber. At this time, under the action of the medium pressure, the force of closing the valve is small, while the force of opening the valve is large, and the diameter of the valve stem can be reduced accordingly. At the same time, under the action of the medium, this form of valve is also tight. The "three valve" has been stipulated in our country, the flow of cut-off valve, all using top-down. When the globe valve is opened, the opening height of the disc is 25% ~ 30% of the nominal diameter. The flow rate has reached the maximum, indicating that the valve has reached the fully open position. Therefore, the fully open position of the globe valve should be determined by the stroke of the valve disc.

2. Small working schedule and short opening and closing time.
3. Good sealing, small friction between the sealing surface, long life.
4. The structure of the globe valve body has straight through, straight flow and right Angle. The straight through type is the most common structure, but its fluid has the greatest resistance. The straight flow fluid has low resistance and is mostly used for fluids containing solid particles or high viscosity. The right Angle valve body is forged, which is suitable for smaller and higher pressure stop valve.
